You have finally been accepted into the Adventurer's Guild and accepted a quest to clear a nearby Dungeon. You stand outside the Dungeon, staring at the entrance and the dark depths beckoning you forward towards the first and main room of the Dungeon. Something is off though, this dungeon doesnt exactly look like the one on your request paper, shouldn't be anything to worry about right?
Enter the [[Main Room]]
[[Leave]]
You enter a study room of some kind, books and scrolls litter the desk, tables and floor. Bookeshelves toppled over and scorch marks coating every surface of the room and some books lay charred. A large magic circle, ruined, drawn on the floor leads you to believe that some magic experiment went wrong
Three things catch your attention in the room, a ceremonial [[dagger]] on the floor, an iron [[key]] rusting on the desk and an undamaged [[chest]] in the corner
A smell of (text-colour:grey)[smoke] and (text-colour:#ffad5c)[cinder] wafts down the path, the only way to reopen the dungeon door is to kill the (text-colour:red)[Boss] that must be at the end of this corridor. The heat makes you sweat inside your leather armour as the air gets hotter
Continue into the [[Main chamber]], or turn back and explore the [[Left Path]] for anything that might helpAs you approach the door, a rasp and rattle startle you as a figure heaves itself up to the grate to meet your gaze. You can't see them well at this distance, but you know they are staring you dead in the eyes
Return to the [[Main Room]]
Approach the [[Person?]]Your eyes widen, inside the room and looking at you through the bars is a skeleton in what appears to be adventurers gear. His voice rasps as he begs you to come closer
[[Approach]] the skeleton
Run back to the [[Main Room]] "Please, fellow adventurer. I've been trapped in here for years, cursed to rot away and never die, I beg of you to release me. There is a study room on the opposite path, it should have something useful"
Wheter or not you help the dead man, your only options are to head down the [[Left Path]] or the [[Central Path]] A (text-colour:#8f6338)[rusted] iron key, perhaps you can open something with it since it's.....y'know, a key
You're little pouch can only hold one item, should've gotten a bigger one
You can [[take the key]] and put it in your pouch, leave it and look at the [[dagger]], examine the [[chest]], or return to the [[Main Room]] A slender dagger with a small (text-colour:red)[p](text-colour:orange)[r](text-colour:yellow)[i](text-colour:lime)[s](text-colour:green)[m](text-colour:cyan)[a](text-colour:blue)[t](text-colour:navy)[i](text-colour:purple)[c] gemstone inlaid into the guard
You're little pouch can only hold one item, should've gotten a bigger one
You can [[take the dagger]] and put it in your pouch, leave it and look at the [[key]], examine the [[chest]], or return to the [[Main Room]]
You approach the chest, setting down your sword to open the lid. As you peer inside the chest you see a hoard of.......sharp teeth, and a tongue
Theres bones in the chest
[[uh oh]]The Mimic bites down, severing your lower half as you fall inside it's mouth
It begins to chew

The left path seems to lead to another room
[[Left Path]]
The central path stretches father than you can see in the torchlight, yet a (text-colour:red)[warm] air wafts through
[[Central Path]]
The right path leads to a wooden door with a (text-colour:grey)[metal grate]
[[Right Path]]You decide not to test your beginners luck and return to the Guild to inform them about the descrepencies you noticed. Good thing too, seems you were accidentally given another Adventurers paper for a mid ranking dungeon, that could have been disasterous.

[[return with the key]] or [[take the dagger]]insteadYou appraoch the door with the key and a skeletal hand lunges out of the grate in an attempt to grab you
"The key, give me the key. Let me out now! Please!"
You hand the skeleton the key and it takes it from you to[[open the door]] As you approach the door, a skeletal face greets you at the grate. It rasps "The key, please. Get the key and free me I beg, it's been so long"
Can you really trust an undead? Perhaps he was trapped for a reason
"Please Adventurer, i was once trying to defeat this dungeon too. Save me and I can help"
[[Stab]] the dagger through the grate to kill the skeleton or listen to it and [[go get the key]] You enter the main chamber, the (text-colour:#ff2e2e)[heat] unbearable. Bodies standing as statues of (text-colour:#625555)+(bg:black)[char] and (text-colour:grey)[ash], some still with the (text-colour:#eca865)[faint glow of dying embers].
The (text-colour:#9e0000)[heat] is rising, the hairs on your neck stand only to singe in the intesity of the air, out of the corner of your eye you see a fire flicker into existence and grow in size, iluminating the ghoul, (text-colour:#520000)[burnt flesh] and (text-colour:#4e4b4b)[bone] that is beginning to aim the mote of fire at you
[[Lunge]] at the ghoul to strike it down
[[Cover]] yourself behind the charred statuesque corpses You lunge forward, bringing your sword across the ghoul's midsection. But it's quicker, as you make your swing you are engulfed in sudden agony and flame as it eats away at you leaving you to join the ranks of the other charcoal statues

"I was an Adventurer like you, till i was trapped in there and cursed by a magic circle. My name is William"
He stand in front of you and exends his arm of bone, palm open as he invites you to [[shake his hand]] In a swift motion you bring the dagger down on the skeletons skull. As the skeleton stops moving its body falls apart into a pile of bones and Adventurer equipment
The lock to the door seems to be old and decayed, perhaps the skeleton didnt have enough strength to break free. But you can use the dagger to pry open the doors lock and [[loot his gear]]=><==

(link: "Restart") [(reload:)]You refuse to shake the skeletons hand, causing him to retract his hand. Despite not having a face you get the feeling he would have an annoyed expression right now but you can't tell why
"Bit rude to ignore a guy like that. Anyways, if either of us want to get out we need to kill the Boss here. Let's go already"
He turns and takes the lead, shield raised in front
You can [[follow William]] to the boss, the extra help would be useful even if he is an undead
You can also [[betray William]] and stab him in the back, who knows if you can trust he wouldn't do the sameYou return to the study, putting the dagger back and grabbing the key. You put it in your pouch and as you leave, you see some scriblings of the dagger and the remnants of the words "de t oy nd ad"
Time to [[return with the key]] You enter the main chamber, the (text-colour:#ff2e2e)[heat] unbearable. Bodies standing as statues of (text-colour:#625555)+(bg:black)[char] and (text-colour:grey)[ash], some still with the (text-colour:#eca865)[faint glow of dying embers].

[[Lunge]] at the ghoul to strike it down
Listen to William and [[throw your sword]]You silently unsheate your sword and before William can react, you bring it across his neck and behead him
His body falls apart, leaving his angry chattering skull on the ground as he curses you out for attacking him. With a stomp you crush it to splinters
You are now free to [[loot his gear]]
The skeltons bones litter the floor. Piled inside the bones are a set of worn, old leather armour that resembles yours, a rusty chipped sword and a steel shield. The shield appears to be the only thing of worth taking
Donning the shield on your arm, all that's left is to [[find the boss]]Just as you find a sword that seems usable, you are overcome by searing pain in your lungs. You look down to see your red hot sword remnant through your chest. The pain repeats and spreads as new wounds are opened across your lungs with different weapons
"Sorry pal, but i can't exactly have you telling anyone about an undead roaming free now"
You begin to lose all feeling of pain as you remain crouched in the centre of the room, a pincushion to the arms of the other fallen

[[Lunge]] at the ghoul to strike it downWith a heave you throw your sword at the ghoul, the blade piercing its chest as it screams in pain.
